Mission:

The Family Learning Center is a community of empowered families in partnership with the Lake Washington School District, providing diverse learning opportunities that prepare students for future success.

Vision:

It is the vision of the Family Learning Center to create a collaborative environment which maximizes parent involvement as the primary educator. We offer individualized education to families who are focused on integrating the development of the whole child with high educational standards.

Values:

· We affirm FLC as community of learners, our goal to help every student flourish using a diverse educational environment that allows for creative expression, individuality and offers the highest quality education for our children.

· In order to achieve a high standard of education, we affirm a process of instruction involving the intake of new information, processing and demonstrating knowledge and mastery.

· We affirm a parent’s role as the primary educator of their children, providing instruction at home and partnering with the teachers, resources and classes provided by Family Learning Center and the Lake Washington School District.

· We affirm the development of the whole child in character, self-esteem and pursuit of personal talents by providing the freedom to adapt the learning to the individual.
