 Mission and Goals

The Finn Hill PTSA is a group of parents, staff and community members whose main goal is to protect and enhance the well-being of our children and students. We work closely with the school administration, providing volunteers and monetary grants to supplement the educational experience. We also strive to keep you informed about school issues in the community.

PTSA General Membership Meetings for 2009-2010

Our meeting dates this year will be September 29, November 17, January 26, March 23 and April 20. We look forward to seeing you then. You do not need to be a member to attend, everyone is welcome. At every meeting we provide updates on school events, and offer a chance for you to ask any questions you may have.

Volunteers

Even though your child is growing older, your help at school is still needed. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities, some are one time events, others are on-going commitments. Most school programs would not exist if not for volunteer support. The donation of your time is very much appreciated. Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form or contact any of our volunteer coordinators if you would like to assist at school (see Co-VP's Volunteers listed below.)

All volunteers must complete a background check with the school district before they can start working with children, and this process must be renewed every two years. Visit the district site for the renewal process.

Fundraising

Fundraising Information

All of what we do is funded by you, the families, staff and community members of Finn Hill. There are two organizations which raise money for school, the PTSA and the ASB. There is fundraising held throughout the year.

Earn cash back for Finn Hill with your purchases at nearly 1,000 on-line retailers.

Finn Hill PTSA is a 501 (c) non-profit organization, so your donations to the PTSA may be tax decutible, and are also elibgible for your employer matching donation program. Contact your human resources department to find out if your donations to Finn Hill PTSA will be matched by your employer. (Coming soon--links to Boeing and Microsoft matching donation forms.)

Falcons Care

One of the services we provide to Finn Hill is monetary assistance for students to help pay for class fees, sports fees, and any other assistance deemed necessary by school staff. If you would like to help PTSA with this worthy cause, we will accept your tax-deductible donation to this specific account at any time during the school year. If your family needs monetary assistance, please contact the school administration.

Membership

PTSA Membership Form

Your annual membership in the Finn Hill PTSA gives you a voice in the many decisions which affect your child and the Finn Hill community. Only members can vote on matters at PTSA meetings, hold office on the PTSA Board of Directors, and assist with handling money at PTSA events. Your Finn Hill PTSA membership includes membership in the Lake Washington PTSA Council, regional, state and national PTA, which is the largest child advocacy group in the country. You will also be eligible for some store discounts, visit the National PTA website  for futher information.
