I have been a counselor in the Lake Washington School District since 1978.  My experience includes 17 years as a counselor at Juanita High School, which enhances my ability to help your child make the transition from junior high to high school and to begin preparing now for life after high school.

My own education began in Montgomery County Schools of Maryland, and I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland.  After teaching kindergarten and 3rd grade for 4 years, I moved with my husband to Lake Oswego, Oregon.  While there, I completed my Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling at Portland State University.  The next year, I taught Special Education students at a middle school in Portland.  Since I was born in Seattle, I had always wanted to live here.  I got hired as a Juanita High School counselor before I got my boxes unpacked!  Counseling at Juanita and Finn Hill has been my dream job.
