Math Club

Coordinator: Ms. Berton (bberton@lwsd.org)

Description: Math Club is open to all EMS students (grades 6-8) who are interested in math enrichment opportunities.

Students meet after school once a week to solve challenging math problems independently as well as collaboratively.  The overall goal is to improve problem-solving skills and make friends.

Students may also participate in several contests such as:

  • Math Madness
  • American Mathematics Competitions (AMC 8 and AMC 10)
  • MATHCOUNTS
  • Lake Washington School District Math Olympiad

You can find out more about Math Club here.

If you have never been to Math Club before, come to a meeting and check it out!  The first meeting is on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

How to join: Fill out the registration form and turn it in to Ms. Berton.

Cost: $25 for fees and supplies, in addition to ASB membership.  Students must be ASB members to participate in Math Club.
