HoWL

The Homework Lunch Program (HoWL) is a support system for students who have missing assignments, and/or need extra homework time.  It occurs during lunchtime each day of the week, in a classroom where students are able to eat lunch and complete their work.  It is a quiet environment where students can focus and have access to school supplies, such as markers, colored pencils, calculators, graph paper, etc.  This program provides students the academic support, motivation and extra time to be successful in their school work.

HoWL can be either teacher assigned or student requested.  We want to support students in their learning of important study skills.  Ask your student about HoWL.

If you would like more information regarding this program, please contact Mary Leith at maleith@lwsd.org.
