The National Junior Honor Society is an organization that recognizes students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character. NJHS events include running the annual food drive and school beautification. Members of the Evergreen Junior High School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society must maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average for a minimum of three semesters, complete at least ten hours of community service per semester, and regularly attend the NJHS meetings. There is a formal induction ceremony for those who qualify in spring and an informal ceremony for those who qualify in fall.
