Community School is one of a growing number of schools in Washington who pledged to reduce their school's greenhouse gas emissions. We know quite a bit about how our energy habits can impact the amount of CO2 we produce. Our efforts to reduce our impact include: turning off computer monitors when not in use, leaving some light fixtures off, reusing paper before recycling it, and turning down the heat (especially during the weekends and nights). We plan to continue our efforts this year with a focus on turning lights off when we leave the room and encouraging more carpooling. Check out more information on how you can join us in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by visiting the Cool School Challenge website.
