COMMUNITY SCHOOL LOTTERY PROCEDURES
REQUIRED STEPS IN THE LOTTERY PROCESS FOR 1st – 6th GRADES
-
January 13, 2010 parents attend the mandatory Information Night at 7 PM at Community School. This is the only time that Lottery Forms are available and accepted. Hereafter, the date for this yearly meeting will be posted on our website at www.lwsd.org each September.
-
Complete and sign the Lottery Form and Family Commitment Agreement and turn them in to the registration table at the mandatory Information Night.
-
January 15 – February 2, 2010 parents attend a Morning Tour (classroom observation) and an Afternoon Tour (observing parents and/or students teaching). Parents must call the school at 425-936-2395 after the Information Meeting to schedule. A selection of tour dates will be available. No reminders are sent and failure to contact the school will result in your child’s Lottery Form being removed from the process.
-
You must attend the Information Night and two tours in the spring of the desired entrance year. When the Lottery Form/Family Commitment Agreement are received and the above Information Meeting and two visits are completed, the student is placed in the lottery.
