I came to BEST in 2000 as a library volunteer. At the time, BEST did not have a web site, and since I had created a few neighborhood web pages for Kirkland, I was asked to create a site for BEST. At first is was very simple, but has grown considerably to what is it today.
In 2002, an Instructional Assistant position became available at BEST and I filled that spot, working with the English, Art, and Special Education departments. I have enjoyed the opportunity to work at BEST and think it is a terrific school. A totally dedicated staff and unique program make it a great resource for kids who, for whatever reason, do not fit in well at the regular high schools.
