Desirée Anne Woodruff

• Bachelor in Physical Sciences/Pre-Medicine – University of Houston - Downtown
• Teaching Certificate – University of St. Thomas/ HISD
• Master in Education specialized in Reading – Grand Canyon University

Mrs. Woodruff teaches English Language Learners at AG Bell.  She has been on staff at Bell since 2000 with previous teaching experience in Oregon and Houston.  She enjoys being at AG Bell because of the opportunity to work with a diverse and creative group of people.

 She was raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala and Houston, TX

Her favorite memories include School Festivals called Kermeses in Guatemala because of the great food and games and her first grade teacher in Guatemala because she always made her laugh especially when she recited a poem that Mrs. Woodruff can still remember.

Mrs. Woodruff met her husband in Hawaii 10 years ago. They have no children, but have the most adorable cat named Italia. You can see her at www.desireewoodruff.com

In her spare time, Mrs. Woodruff promotes animal rights and protects wild life and the environment.  She enjoys gardening in the summer time, traveling, reading historical fiction, and enjoying time with family and my adorable cat.

Her heroes and role models are Jesus Christ – for his courageous sacrifice for humanity and his infinite wisdom and her mother – for leading her to Christ and for her courage and desire to want to live while fighting cancer for 3 years.
