Mrs. Hynden was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil but grew up in Southern California and Spokane, WA She moved to Seattle for college.
She recalls being very shy when little, but her favorite year in elementary school was 5th grade when she played Lady Mac Duff in Shakespeare’s play “Macbeth”. She was “killed” off stage, and got to scream. It was very exciting. Her favorite elementary teacher was Mrs. Daniels. She had high expectations and was stern at times, but was unable to finish reading Where the Red Fern Grows to the class because she was in tears. A student had to read for her.
Mrs. Hynden has taught at a few different schools, and AG Bell tops the list! She loves the people she works with, and they work with the best families in the world!
Her husband, Steve, is a school counselor in the district. They have a son in 5th grade and a daughter in 9th grade, both in the Lake Washington School District. Their dog, Hershey Kisses Hynden, loves to have her family home during the summer. The Hynden family enjoys camping, hiking, playing games and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Hynden loves a good bargain, and has been spotted at one of her favorite shopping spots “Value Village”.
Her mom has always been her role model. She loves unconditionally and always looks at the world and sees the positive.
