Greetings! My name is Pete Hanson, and I’m in my second year at Audubon. I'm originally from New England, growing up in Connecticut and going to college in Rhode Island. After getting a BA in Political Science from Providence College in 2002, I moved out to Seattle to do AmeriCorps. I was an AmeriCorps member for 3 years in a Seattle elementary, performing in-school and after-school tutoring. Then I decided I wanted to be a teacher, and went to UW-Bothell to get my teaching certificate.
When I was in AmeriCorps I met my wife, Jenni (also a teacher). We live together in Seattle with our two black cats. I spent much of my spare time running and watching sports. I'm a marathon runner, and have run the Boston, New York, and Chicago marathons. I'm also a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and UConn Huskies fan.
