Passport Club
The Passport Club is a professionally developed program available to all Rose Hill Elementary students during the course of their school day. The program is specifically designed to get students excited about geography and to provide them with accurate and interesting study materials that keep pace with our ever-changing world.
It is an individualized, sequential, year-long program that enhances the current social studies curriculum. the basic goal of the program is to learn the location of some, or all, of the world's countries, as well as other major geographic locations such as continents and oceans. Each student receives monthly maps and their own passport booklet to record their progress using stamps from around the world.
This program relies heavily on volunteer help once a month for two-and-a-half hours to help test all the students on each month's map. For more information - or to volunteer - please contact PTSA Passport Club Chair, Jennifer Mason.
Please refer to the Tandem Online Calendar for specific dates of Passport Check Days. Get to the Tandem Online Calendar by clicking the "Calendar" button at the top of the page.
Due to copyright issues, we are not able to publish monthly study maps on our website. If you need an electronic copy of a map, please email PTSA Passport Club Chair, Jennifer Mason, and she will be able to provide you with what you need.
As an alternative, we put together monthly study lists, each including the countries for levels 1 through 5. Below, you will find links to PDF documents of the Passport Study Lists for each month. If you would like to view and print study lists for the entire year all at one time (September 2009 through May 2010) choose the last document in the list.
