Fundraising Highlights
Thank you to all the students, parents and staff that made Raccoon Rally a great success. We raised just over $9,000, with 20% going directly back to our teachers, specialists and the PE program so these dedicated people can direct the funds exactly as they wish within their classrooms. The remaining 80% helps fund the many PTSA programs that are included in the current year's approved budget. Congratulations to Mark Claussen and Lauren Bowser, our grand prize winners. Special thanks to Bridle Trails New York Pizza for donating family dinners to the top donors at each grade level.

How Donations are Spent
The PTSA Budget Committee works alongside the PTSA Board of Directors to make sure all the financial goals of the PTSA are met for the current fiscal year. This committee meets quarterly to review the current budget, see that the PTSA raises the money it needs, spends the money it makes, and proposes a budget for the next school year.
The proposed budget is reviewed by the Board of Directors and then presented to the general membership at the June meeting at which questions are asked, discussed and resolved. A proposed budget is approved at this meeting, which allows the PTSA to conduct any necessary financial business over the summer months. A final operating budget, which takes into consideration any developments over the summer, is voted on at the general meeting in September or October of each year.
