Studio East School Play
Every fall/winter, the Studio East Theater works with the PTSA, students and their parents to produce a school play including singing, dancing and lots of fun, lifetime memories. Roles in the school play are open to fourth, fifth and sixth grade students. Parents of students in the play are heavily involved with planning, promotions, set management, make-up, costumes, supervision during rehearsals and the performance, ticket sales and the cast party.
The January 2011 production is Peter Pan in Neverland - A Musical Fantasy in Two Acts. Performances are Friday, January 7th and Saturday, January 8th at 7:00pm at Rose Hill Junior High located at 13505 NE 75th Street, Redmond, WA 98052.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the door or ordered in advance by calling 425-885-9241.

About Studio East
Studio East creates opportunities for young people to discover and explore the performing arts. We believe that the arts are an integral part of a balanced education and are essential to becoming a creative, responsible adult in our community. Studio East has been training young people in all aspects of the performing arts since 1991. Located in Kirkland, the Studio offers school year programs for ages 4-19, including classes, workshops and school break camps, a Homeschool program, Outreach programs, and five youth theater productions on our stage. Our summer programs include drama camps for ages 4-16, our Summer Teen Musical, and our Young Actor’s Professional Intensive program. Through our adult professional touring company, StoryBook Theater, The Studio has introduced thousands of young people and their families to the magical world of live theatre through weekend public shows and weekday shows for school groups.
Our ArtReach program is designed to give local schools an opportunity to have their own drama program. We realize that for many parents, it is not feasible to bring their children to the Studio for classes and rehearsals or pay the tuition that those programs entail. By reaching out into the community and offering this “taste of theater,” we are able to combine our resources to bring the most complete theater experience to your school. The program builds self-confidence, teamwork, friendships outside of the classroom, personal responsibility, and of course performing skills. It provides students with the opportunity to succeed outside the realm of academics or sports and allows them to be creative and productive as part of a team. Through the Studio East ArtReach! program, young people discover talents they didn’t know they had, and that success and experience builds life skills that positively impact the rest of their activities and relationships for years to come.
