I began elementary school in Paris, France where my father was stationed after World War Two! (Yes, I’m one of the oldest teachers here!) I knew I wanted to teach reading after trying to learn to read in English while attending French schools. I’ve taught all elementary grades, beginning in California in 1973, taking 14 years off to be with my children, then re-entering the profession about 15 years ago. My husband, Dan, and I have two grown children; we’re news junkies and enjoy traveling and reading together. Teaching at Rose Hill is incredibly rewarding! The students here are the best in the District—so anxious to learn and appreciative of the help they receive!
