I earned my bachelor degree in Anthropology and Education at Whitman College. Knowing I wanted to become an elementary teacher, I went back to school and earned my masters degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Willamette University, where I also took courses to become a reading teacher. I began teaching in 2004 in Oregon, where I taught Kindergarten and first grade. While I was teaching, I earned my certification to become an ELL teacher at Lewis and Clark College. Before coming to Rose Hill, I taught first grade in Olympia. I enjoy working with small groups as a Safety Net and ELL teacher here at Rose Hill.
My husband and I have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia and enjoy spending time as a family.
