Midnight Bowling 

Jump Rope for Heart - During the month of February students will participate in Jump Rope for Heart and other fun fitness activities. You can also help support the American Heart Association by following the directions on the packet that will be coming home soon or by visiting their website by clicking here.

Physical Activity Calendar - Use this calendar for ideas on how to stay healthy this month.  You can earn a "Star Ticket" from Mr. Johnson if you turn in your calendar or email him at the end of the month to let him know that you completed 22-28 of the activities.

Fitness Calendar - Create your own calendar!  Write down all the activities you do and how many minutes you did them.  You can earn a "Star Ticket" from Mr. Johnson if you turn in your calendar or email him at the end of the month to let him know that you tried to fill in something for each component every day.

Mr. Johnson is currently on leave to be home with his wife and son.  Mr. Simpson, a former physical education teacher, is the long term substitute until Mr. Johnson returns at the end of February.

September: Introduction to Physical Education Class, Space Awareness Using Scooters, Cow Game, Jogging Outside, Throwing and Catching to Self (Juggling), Football Skills (Throwing, Catching, Running, Fleeing, Chasing, Dodging).

October: Track and Field Skills (10 Minute Jog, Relay Race, Hurdles, Hammer Throw, Javelin, Softball Throw), Rules and Expectations Activote, Throwing and Catching (Pin Knockdown, Team Pin Knockdown, Pickle) Skeletal System Activote, Bone Relay, Chasing, Fleeing, Dodging.

November: Basketball Skills (Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, Scooter Basketball, 3 v. 3 Modified Game), Muscular System Activote, Fitness.

December: Bowling Skills (Underhand Rolling), Fitness (Running, Wall Sit, Push Ups, Bicycle Kicks, Crunches, Jumping), Free Choice (Review of Skills Learned).

January: Fitness, Parachute Activities, Square Dancing with Dave Harry.
