We are very proud of our music program led by Rachel Teigen Brackett. She also provides several music and choir programs outside of her music classes during the school day. Additional programs are available through Kirkland Jr. High or conducted by contracted professionals at Lakeview.

Primary Choir
Runs April through May, Wednesdays before school, for grades 1-3. Classes are led by Rachel Teigen Brackett, Lakeview Music Teacher, and ends with a performance in May. Students learn the basics of singing, score reading, performing, and musical interpretation; as well as teamwork, mutual respect, and group collaboration skills.

Intermediate Choir
Runs October through March, Wednesdays before school, for grades 4-6. Classes are led by Rachel Teigen Brackett, Lakeview Music Teacher, and ends with a performance in March. Students learn the basics of singing, score reading, performing, and musical interpretation; as well as teamwork, mutual respect, and group collaboration skills.

Beginning Band

Beginning String Orchestra

Guitar Class
Runs May through June, Mondays after school, for grades 5 and 6. Classes are led by Rachel Teigen Brackett, Lakeview Music Teacher.

Piano Keyboard Club
Learn to read music and play favorite tunes on an electric piano keyboard. Group classes are offered by Musical Minds for beginners and returning students (grades 1-6) after school on Mondays.  Musical Minds Web Site or contact Jenny for more information. Flyer
