Math Olympiad Club
Math Enrichment
Arithmetic is numbers you squeeze from your head to your hand to your pencil to your paper till you get the answer. ~Carl Sandburg, "Arithmetic"
This club is a fantastic way for fifth and sixth grade students to be exposed to new math concepts, work together in groups, and have a lot of fun in the process. This club is led by
Miss Keppler
, sixth grade teacher, and members meet before school on Thursdays. In the fall and winter, math club members participate in the National Math Olympiad, which is a series of five highly challenging tests. In the spring, students begin preparation for a team contest held in May.
