Math Olympiad Club
Math Enrichment

Arithmetic is numbers you squeeze from your head to your hand to your pencil to your paper till you get the answer.  ~Carl Sandburg, "Arithmetic"
This club is a fantastic way for fifth and sixth grade students to be exposed to new math concepts, work together in groups, and have a lot of fun in the process.  This club is led by Miss Keppler, sixth grade teacher, and members meet before school on Thursdays. In the fall and winter, math club members participate in the National Math Olympiad, which is a series of five highly challenging tests. In the spring, students begin preparation for a team contest held in May.
