I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Jamie Tiffany and this is my sixth year teaching and fifth year teaching third grade at Lakeview. Before receiving my Masters in Teaching, I worked for eight years as an on-air graphics operator for KOMO TV. I also spent one year as a substitute teacher in Bloomington, Indiana while my husband, Hal, attended graduate school at Indiana University. I live in the Kirkland community with my husband and two daughters.
As an educator, my role is to create a safe and challenging environment for learning. I want my students to develop confidence and independence, to act responsibly and respectfully, and to grow academically.
When I am not teaching, I like to spend time with my family. You may see me out and about cheering Laney on at her soccer and basketball games or chasing Georgia around the park. I also enjoy card making with stamps and working in my yard.
