I received my teaching credentials from Seattle Pacific University where I majored in Elementary Family and Consumer Science Education. After completing my student teaching in a fourth grade classroom in Lake Washington School District, I was hired at Lakeview Elementary to teach third grade. I am continuing to work on my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction through SPU and will complete the program this coming summer.

As an educator, I seek to provide a safe environment where students are challenged academically and provided with rich and innovative social experiences. After moving up to teach fourth grade last year, I will be coming back to third grade with new perspective and insight as to where my students need to go next.

My husband and I live in Monroe and we head off to Stevens Pass to go hiking and camping every chance we get. Whenever I have a free moment to myself I love curling up with a good book and a cup of Starbucks coffee! I also enjoy playing soccer, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and working on artistic endeavors.
