It is a privilege to be a first grade teacher at Lakeview Elementary! Working with children has been my lifelong joy, and I'm excited to be joining such a stellar team of educators. I earned my B.A. in Child Development and my teaching certificate from Western Washington University in Bellingham. After graduation, I worked as a music teacher at Blaine Elementary School. I had always dreamed of living and teaching in Hawaii, the Aloha State, so after completing my contract in Blaine, I moved to the Big Island to teach fifth grade. It was a beautiful place to live, but after a year I was eager to return to my friends, family, and the endless activities available in the Pacific Northwest. In my spare time I like to swim, run, bike, snowboard, surf, hike, and compete in triathlons. I also like to curl up with a good book, a cup of coffee, and listen to the wonderful rain.
