This will be my 26th
year of teaching and my 20th year at Peter Kirk! I have taught 1st,
2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, but
not in that order, and I loved my experiences at each grade level. Being the
daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, and great-great-granddaughter
(yes, 4 generations!) of teachers, teaching is definitely in my blood!
I consider myself a lifelong
learner, and my own education is an ongoing project. I was a stay-at-home mom
while my children were young, and then my husband and I both went back to
school (one at a time) to complete our educations that were interrupted by the
draft during the Vietnam War. I received my bachelor's degree from the
University of Utah in 1986, and my Master's Degree from City University in
1998. I am continually taking classes, and love to be the learner in a
classroom, almost as much as I love to be a teacher.
My husband and I have lived in
Kirkland for 22 years, and our children are grown. I love to read and knit and
spend as much time as I can with our sweet Grandboy, now 4 ½.
