I have lived in Kirkland the past 15 years with my husband and my two sons (one in college, one in junior high). After being a “stay-at-home” mom for 12 years, volunteering in the classroom and working as a PTSA leader, I decided I wanted to work in education full time. I went back to school to receive my teaching certification from the University of Washington, then taught 5^th grade at McAuliffe Elementary in Sammamish before coming to Peter Kirk. Our family goes to numerous sporting events from baseball to basketball, football and even Formula 1 and Indy car racing. I read and browse bookstores whenever I get a free moment, travel whenever and wherever I can, and go to the movies often. Comedies are my favorite. I’m thrilled to be teaching so close to home because I think the Kirkland community is so friendly!
