I have lived in Kirkland the past 15 years with my husband and my two sons (one in college, one in junior high). After being a “stay-at-home” mom for 12 years, volunteering in the classroom and working as a PTSA leader, I decided I wanted to work in education full time. I went back to school to receive my teaching certification from the University of Washington, then taught 5th grade at McAuliffe Elementary in Sammamish before coming to Peter Kirk. Our family goes to numerous sporting events from baseball to basketball, football and even Formula 1 and Indy car racing. I read and browse bookstores whenever I get a free moment, travel whenever and wherever I can, and go to the movies often. Comedies are my favorite. I’m thrilled to be teaching so close to home because I think the Kirkland community is so friendly!
