I am excited to be teaching at the same school where I attended elementary school. Yes, I went to Peter Kirk Elementary! I was born and raised in Kirkland and attended Western Washington University where I received a B.A in Art and Teaching. After graduation I traveled through Australia and Europe and then starting teaching elementary art in the Bellevue School District.  In 1998 I began teaching in the LWSD where I have taught Quest ½, first grade, third grade, sixth grade and reading. In 2002 I received my M.A in teaching from Grand Canyon University. I live in Redmond with my husband, Ryan, and my twins Cody and Kayla who just turned 5 years old. I began job-share teaching after Cody and Kayla were born so that I could spend time at home with them as well as continue teaching, which is one of my greatest joys. Outside of teaching and spending time relaxing with my friends and family I enjoy skiing, swimming, boating, traveling, reading and exercising.
