Global Reading Challenge 2009
Another competition has come and gone. We had a total of 28 students participate this year! Even though we didn't win the final, the students were able to read some wonderful books and practiced working as a team.

The first competition took place on Tuesday, January 26th at Juanita El. The three teams that competed were The Flame Readers, the Golden Star Jaguars and the Reading Radars. It was an exciting competition and each team put forth their best effort! In the end, the Reading Radars came out the winners with a total of 90 points follwed by the Golden Star Jaguars and the Flame Readers.

The  second round of competition took place on Friday February 19th at Lakeview Elementary. The competition was fierce! There were a total of three schools in the competition representing the Juanita Region. They were Juanita El., Keller and Thoreau. In the end, Keller came out on top. However, each team demonstrated great team work and good sportsmanship. Way to go everyone!
