Honor Society
Information about the Inglewood chapter of the National Honor Society for academic achievement.

National Junior Honor Society is an organization that recognizes students who demonstrate the qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, character and citizen.  Honor Society started at Inglewood in 1991, the year Inglewood opened.

Induction Ceremony: November 8, 2011. 7-8 p.m. in the Inglewood Gym

Students are inducted once a year in November at a formal ceremony.

Qualifications

  • Students are first eligible for induction when they are in 8th grade.
  • Students must maintain a cumulative 3.5 Grade Point Average.
  • By completing 15 hours of community service, students are eligible to participate in a field trip at the end of the year.

Advisory Council

  • Students can become members of National Society Advisory Council by applying in November.
  • Advisory Counil members plan and implement the induction ceremony for new members and plan the end-of-year field trip.

Important Dates

  • Community Service must be complete by April 2012.
  • The end-of-year field trip is tentatively scheduled for June 2012.

Blackwell PTSA Meeting Movie Night Community Service Opportunity

Where: Blackwell Elementary Commons

When: January 19, 2012 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Information: Take care of young students as mom watch a movie.

After School Activities Help

Where: Smith Elementary

When: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (after school)

Contact: Mrs. McCorkle 425-941-0425

Information: Help with afterschool activities.  Tuesdays for Fall Ball (basically a 60 kid DodgeBall hour)  2:55-3:55. Mondays and/or Thursdays for our Running Club.  2:55-3:55 handing out links, supervising, jogging/chatting.
