 9th Grade Reflection Overview

 Project Overview

Your time at IJH is coming to a close.  Historically, this has been a time for 9th graders to reflect on the past three years and this year is no different.

As you may know, the 9th grade Reflection Project is a culminating exhibition. The exhibition consists of 1) a speech and 2) a presentation.  Students receive credit for completing this project in LA/SS.

ALL students are required to complete a PowerPoint; some students may elect to include a creative element as part of their presentation.  This allows an opportunity for you to present in a way that reflects who you are as a learner and an individual.  Remember, all students must address all of the required content listed in the 9th Grade Project Outline and all student presentations must fit in the 4 – 6 minute time limit.

You will be given 13 days (8 school days) to complete these two components.  The project requirements and timelines will be presented by an assigned teacher.  You will have two class periods in school during State Assessment testing window, and will be necessary for you to work on this project at home.

The process begins today, and you will be given paperwork and rubrics as they are needed.  It is your responsibility to keep this information in a safe place.
