CAREER AND COLLEGE RESOURCE CENTER
Open to all students and their parents, the Career and College Resource Center provides many resources to aid in the exploration of college and career alternatives.

 RESOURCES AND SERVICES

 

•Career and College Exploration with the Washington Occupational Information System (WOIS) - a web based program which provides information on occupations, post secondary education/training, and the labor market. Please contact the Career Center for a password.  Go to www.wois.org to access the program.

•Visits by College Representatives - college admission representatives visit Eastlake in the fall and spring to make presentations to interested students.   The list of visits currently scheduled is posted on the Haiku page under Extras/Counseling Center/Career Center.

•Visits by Armed Services Representatives - recruiters from all the services are available during monthly visits or at student request.

•Job board - Part-time employment opportunities for students are posted on the job board.

•Scholarship Board - the scholarship boardcontains application information for scholarships received in the Counseling Center.  Scholarship information can also be found on the Haiku page under Extras/Counseling Center/Career Center.

•Community Service File - The community service file contains descriptions of a variety of community service opportunities for students

•SAT and ACT - registration information for college entrance tests. 

•Career Interest Assessment - Computer and paper career interest assessments are available

•Library - includes a variety of references on occupations, colleges, financial aid/scholarships and college admission tests

 

 

 

 

 
 

 Programs

 
  • Washington Network for Innovative Careers (WaNIC)
    WaNIC (formerly known as NEVAC) is a regional cooperative of seven school districts which share over 35 different technical education programs. Classes are open to juniors and seniors with counselor approval.
  • Washington Tech Prep
    The Tech Prep Program is a partnership of school districts, community and technical colleges, and business and community members. This program allows students to earn dual high school/college credit in a variety of career and technical education classes.
