Futures School @ Juanita High School

Our mission is to assist commited students to develop the academic and applied skills to transition successful to post-secondary education, military, technical schools or work. Students have an opportunity to participate in creating a schedule that is academically rewarding while preparing them for the next step on the road to their "future". A prominent feature of our program is that each student's schedule is unique and can be structured to include academic work and job skill development/on-the-job training.

We offer academic instruction in the core areas of reading, writing and math. Other instruction may be provided via alternative learning experiences, especially those students needing only certain course work for graduation. All academics will be based upon the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs).

Futures School @ Juanita High School provides an option for academic and career services to high school students through age 21 who haven't found success in a typical high school environment.

Cisco Networking Academy
2 CREDITS (Occupational) Inglemoor High School, Newport High School, Mount Si High School

Network switches, routers, patch cables and punch-down blocks are the basic tools of this in depth class. This class prepares students to take the Cisco Certified Associate certification exam.

AP Computer Science
2 CREDITS (Occupational) Redmond High School, Issaquah High School, Mount Si High School

Designed to prepare students to take AP computer science exam. This challenging course is for students who plan to pursue a career in computer science and/or computer programming. Students will learn to program in the C++ language.

Computer Technology Information Project
2 CREDITS (Occupational) Skyline High School, Issaquah High School, Mount Si High School
