Brad graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a B.A. in Business Administration. After working several years in the banking and insurance fields, Brad returned to the University of Puget Sound and earned a B.A. in History and his teaching certificate. Brad taught Special Education and Social Studies for eight years in the Highline School District and earned his Principal’s Certificate from Western Washington University. Brad’s first administrative position was as the Assistant Principal of Eastlake High School. He then transferred to Lake Washington High School where he served as Assistant Principal and was later appointed Principal. After three years as Lake Washington’s Principal, Brad returned to Eastlake High School as Principal where he has been for the last three years.
Brad is married to his wife Greta. They have two children, a son who is a freshman at Lake Washington High School and an eighth grade daughter at Kirkland Middle School. When not working, Brad enjoys spending time with his family.
Brad comes from a family of educators and recognizes the importance education can have on one’s life. He is continually impressed by the perseverance and work ethic of Eastlake High School students.
Chris Bede graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in English and Psychology, and then attended Western Washington University for his Masters in Education. He spent seven years teaching Humanities at Skyline High School. After returning to Western Washington University for his Residency Principal Certificate, Mr. Bede moved .9 of a mile down 228th to work as Associate Principal for Eastlake High School. This is currently his sixth year at Eastlake.
Mr. Bede married his wife Courtney, a teacher at Skyline, in August 2006. They are blessed with two beautiful girls named Finley and Delaney. Mr. Bede loves to travel and has spent summers in Europe, Asia, Central and South America. His passions also include sports, books and outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing and mountain biking.
He feels fortunate to work at Eastlake, where a dedicated staff values each individual student and works to develop a rigorous and relevant curriculum that prepares students for the future.
Alaina Sivadasan graduated from the University of Redlands with a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology. She attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she obtained her M.S. in Educational Psychology. Alaina was a school psychologist for six years in the Issaquah School District, before attending Western Washington University to obtain her administrative credential. Last school year Alaina did her administrative internship at Skyline High School.
Alaina is married and has a wonderful daughter named Mia. Her husband is a software engineer at Microsoft. Alaina enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and any outdoor activity. She and her husband are avid sports fans and enjoy rooting for both Seattle and Boston based teams.
Alaina is excited to be a Wolf and considers herself fortunate to be a part of a dynamic staff, parent, and student community that is passionate about students achieving academic, social, and personal success.
Steve Thatcher graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Special Education M/M and then attended Utah State University for his Masters degree and administrative certification. He spend several years teaching at the Utah State Hospital and Sunset Ridge Middle School in Utah. After teaching, he completed a one year administrative internship before moving up to Eastlake High School.
After a whirlwind romance, Mr. Thatcher married his wife Amy in 2007 and they are delighted to have two beautiful boys, Ben and Eli. Mr. Thatcher loves to read and constantly has several books he is in the middle of reading. He has taken up running in the last couple of years, which helped him lose 40 lbs.
He is delighted to find himself at Eastlake and is excited to work closely with parents and teachers to help every student reach their potential.
