The Science Festival is a huge effort that involves time at home for each student to pursue a question through scientific inquiry. They perform experiments to test hypotheses, and they present the results and conclusions during the festival days.
Each class spends a morning to present their findings to the other two classes during a gallery walk. Students answer questions from other students who visit their exhibit. Following the exhibition portion of the day, student scientists present their scientific studies to their classmates through an oral demonstration in front of their class.
The Community School Science Fair is an undertaking that we have traditionally prompted every other year. The event enriches all of our learning.
