9th Grade Parents - The 9th grade moving up ceremony desperately needs your help.  All the committees (except one) are up and running, planning to make the 9th grade moving up ceremony special for your 9th grader and their classmates.  Unfortunately we have not found anyone to chair the slide show committee.  The committee chairperson would collect two pictures of each of the 200+ 9th grade students in a digital format and send it to Mr. Charouhas, who has volunteered to put together the DVD for the ceremony.  The committee chairperson would be the collection point.  Other committee members could take responsibility for part of the names so that one person would not be in-charge of it all.  This is NOT a small job but it is very important.  The slide show is one of the highlights of the ceremony.  Many people are willing to help take the pictures, we just need someone to organize them and get them to Mr. Charouhas.  If no one steps forward to help us with this, then we will have to cancel this part of the program.  Please e-mail or call Leigh Piper, chairperson of the 9th grade moving up ceremony at trollball@yahoo.com or 425-827-8517 if you are willing to chair this subcommittee.  The next Moving-Up committee meeting is on Tuesday, March 4th, 7:00 pm, in the Library.

8th Grade Parents - We will be having a meeting for all 8th grade parents on Tuesday, March 4th, 7:00 pm, to go over important information for students as they enter high school next year.  Mr. Malloy, from LWHS, will be here to provide information, as well as our Rose Hill Junior High Counselors.  Please put the date on your calendar.  You may contact Mr. Ellis, jellis@lwsd.org, for more informaiton.

WASL Testing Snacks Needed - We will need approximately 3,090 snacks for students in all grades for a snack during the 6 days of WASL testing in March or April. Having a snack during testing really helps our students know that we care about them and want them to do well.  More information will be coming to you in the next parent bulletin.

Save the date – March 7th - Acropolis Pizza in Kirkland is sponsoring a Rose Hill Day on Friday, March 7th.  For every order accompanied by a Rose Hill flyer, Acropolis will give back 20% of the order amount to Rose Hill’s ASB fund. (Alcohol does not count toward the proceeds.)  Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the deal applies for dine-in or take-out.  More information in next week’s parent bulletin.  Questions?  You may contact Mrs. Sierer, bsierer@lwsd.org, for more information.

PTSA Nominating Committee - If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the PTSA's nominating committee for next year's RHJH PTSA board, please contact Liz Clinton at makbethnkc@aol.com.  Or, if you are interested in being a part of the PTSA board for next year, please contact Liz Clinton.  It's a fun and easy way to be involved at the junior high and we welcome anyone who would like to participate.  Thanks!

Expanding Your Horizons Conference - Expanding Your Horizons, a math and science conference for girls in grades 6-8, is being held this year on March 29 at Bellevue Community College.  Brochures are available at school and online at http://eyh.psctlt.org/
