When schools open in September, there will be many new faces in Lake Washington School District, including new principals. Openings resulted from retirements or administrators accepting positions in other districts.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced that LWHS student, Louis Norred, will receive a National Merit Fordham University Scholarship.
The Lake Washington School District (LWSD) and the Lake Washington Education Association (LWEA) have agreed to a new contract for the next four years, the 2017-18 through 2020-21 school years.

Lake Washington School District (LWSD) is located between Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains, to the east of Seattle. Covering 76 square miles, LWSD is the public school district for the cities of Kirkland and Redmond as well as about half of Sammamish. On the north end of the district, some Bothell and Woodinville residents also attend our schools. The district map shows school locations and boundaries.
