Relations with Other Schools and School Districts/Cooperative Educational Programs

The Board of Directors shall cooperate whenever possible with other school districts, with the Educational Service District, and with other local, state, and regional agencies and organizations in matters of common concern.

This cooperation shall extend to such areas as joint educational services, research, exchange of data and information, coordination of curriculum, coordination of school activities and calendars, and cooperative use of facilities.

In the event of requests for information and staff assistance from districts experiencing labor disputes, the Board shall decide whether such assistance may be granted. Nothing herein shall hinder access of any party to public information.

Before joining in any cooperative programs or participating in joint educational services with other districts, the board shall carefully weigh the desirability and feasibility of such cooperation, and shall make sure that in all instances the best interests of the district's children are served.
