The online application is new as of July 17, 2009. If you applied for employment before that date and are still interested in employment with Lake Washington School District, you will need to reapply. Unfortunately, the implementation of the new system did not allow us to transfer applicant information from our former system, so please be prepared to enter all of your application information again. We do apologize for this inconvenience, however, we believe that the new system will better support you in your search for employment in our District.

All current job openings are listed here. Certificated jobs require a valid Washington State teaching certificate. Classified jobs include support positions in schools as well as in the district offices.

Substitute Employment
We strongly encourage you to consider applying for substitute employment (classified or certificated) even if you desire permanent placement. Substitutes have the unique opportunity to become better acquainted with our district and each school location as well as various employment opportunities. Many of our substitutes are hired for permanent employment because staff, principals and supervisors get to know their skills and abilities on a first-hand basis. Our application process allows you to apply for both permanent and substitute positions at the same time.

If you are interested in becoming a substitute, please complete our application form and apply for any available substitute pool positions. Once you have completed the substitute application on-line, Human Resources will review your application materials and contact you with additional information.
