Administrative jobs – Certificated (school building administrators or central office directors and associate directors) or Classified (central office directors and associate directors). Candidates must use an ADMINISTRATIVE application to apply for these jobs.
Certificated jobs – Contracted or substitute educator positions are positions that require one of the following: Washington State teaching certificate; Educational Staff Associate certificate (ESA); or Career and Technical Education certificate (CTE). Candidates must use a CERTIFICATED application to apply for these jobs.
Washington State teaching certificates, Educational Staff Associate Certificates (ESA), and Career and Technical Education certificates (CTE) areissued by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Go to the OSPI website's certification page for complete information. Please be aware that the process for obtaining these certificates can take up to two to three months. Planning ahead is advised.
Classified jobs – Regular and substitute school and district support positions, including athletic coaches, bus drivers, custodians, grounds, instructional assistants, maintenance, office support, paraeducators, professional technical staff, and student and non-student hourly positions. Candidates must use a CLASSIFIED application to apply for these jobs.
We strongly encourage you to consider applying for substitute employment (classified or certificated) even if you desire permanent placement. Substitutes have the unique opportunity to become better acquainted with our district and each school location as well as various employment opportunities. Many of our substitutes are hired for permanent employment because staff, principals, and supervisors get to know their skills and abilities on a first-hand basis. Our application process allows you to apply for both permanent and substitute positions at the same time.
If you are interested in becoming a substitute, please complete our application form and apply to the appropriate substitute general posting. Completed applications will be reviewed. (Confidential reference forms must be returned for an application to be considered complete.) After completed applications are reviewed, selected candidates will be contacted by the Substitute Coordinator advising them of next steps.

Hiring and developing great staff is a priority. All completed applicants will be carefully reviewed to determine best fit for the district. Selected candidates will be invited for one or more interviews.
