Educator Introduction Academy (EIA)
EIA gets teachers off to a good start

Whether you are a brand new educator or just new to Lake Washington School District, we want you to be prepared to succeed in your assignment from the very first day. Since every district has different curricula, processes and procedures, the Educator Introduction Academy (EIA) is your chance to get up to speed quickly.

Included in this mandatory training are General Sessions, Curriculum & Assessment Sessions, New Employee Orientation (NEO), Technology Training, and Professional Growth and Evaluation Training.

The program is mandatory for all new certificated hires, no matter how many years of experience an individual may have. Participants are paid for required training at a curriculum rate, according to the district negotiated agreement.

For Teachers With Less Than One Year of Experience
As an educator new to the teaching profession, you will also be part of the New Teacher Support Program (NTSP). This program provides assistance and support to beginning teachers. Additional paid training will be provided to help you start the school year prepared to succeed. See the designated days on the EIA calendar. Participation in the mentoring program is required as a condition of employment.

Watch your mailbox for an information packet about August trainings
The packet will include EIA details and registration form.
