Staff Use of Electronic Resources

The Lake Washington School District provides a wide range of electronic resources to its staff for the purpose of advancing the educational mission of the District. These resources are provided and maintained at the District’s and, therefore, the public’s expense and are to be used to promote a positive and effective learning environment and digital workplace among staff.

The district recognizes that an effective organization uses technology to enhance organizational efficiencies and productivity. The Staff Acceptable Use procedures (GBD-R) that follow provide details regarding the appropriate and inappropriate use of District electronic resources. The procedures do not attempt to articulate all required or prohibited behavior by users. Successful operation of the District computer network requires that all users conduct themselves in a responsible, decent, ethical, and polite manner while using the District computers. As users of District electronic resources and computers, staff are expected to review and understand the Staff Acceptable Use Procedures (AUP) and guidelines contained therein.
