Evergreen Middle School team wins big at National History Day event

For months, a team of eighth graders from Evergreen Middle School conducted extensive research on the Tuskegee Airmen. Their hard work paid off last week when their 10-minute documentary, “The Tuskegee Airmen: Courage Knows No Color,” was named National Champion in the Junior Group Documentary category of the National History Day competition.

Restraint or Isolation of Students

File: JFA

Use of Restraint or Isolation
Restraint or isolation is only permitted in accordance with state law when reasonably necessary to control spontaneous behavior that poses an imminent likelihood of serious harm.

Staff will closely monitor such actions to prevent harm to the student and will use the minimum amount of restraint and isolation appropriate to protect the safety of students and staff. Restraint or isolation will be discontinued when the likelihood of serious harm has dissipated.

The superintendent or a designee will develop procedures to implement this policy, including review, reporting and parent/guardian notification of incidents involving restraint or isolation as required by law.
