Mr. Krieger serves as the district assessment coordinator, providing leadership and oversight for the implementation of the national, state and district student assessment program. He works in collaboration with district and school leaders to mine, analyze, display, and interpret data and trends to support decision-making and program development efforts to increase student access and engagement, close achievement and opportunity gaps, support student learning and success, and improve organizational outcomes. Mr. Krieger oversees and manages processes pertaining to student reporting and coordinates educational research processes.
Dan Phelan | Director

Mr. Phelan provides leadership for the development and implementation of rigorous and relevant college and career readiness and career and technical education (CTE) courses and programs that help prepare students for a wide range of post-secondary high demand, skill, and wage opportunities. He assumes responsibility for developing relationships with community, business, and higher education partners to collaborate with the district in developing and implementing offerings that increase student access and engagement, close achievement and opportunity gaps, and increase student learning and success. Mr. Phelan provides oversight of the Washington Network for Innovative Careers (WANIC), provides leadership to school-based Career Centers and specialists and ensures compliance with federal and state CTE-related requirements.

Mr. Bryant provides leadership for the development and implementation of professional learning systems for both certificated and classified staff. He collaborates with district leaders, school principals and teams to develop professional learning for staff focused on increasing student access and engagement, closing achievement and opportunity gaps, supporting student learning and success, and enhancing staff productivity and efficacy. Mr. Bryant collaborates with the Human Resources department to assist with systems and processes to ensure appropriate onboarding, orientation, and training for new employees. He assumes responsibility for the district’s New Teacher Support Program, Professional Learning Coach program, manages student teacher placement processes, and develops relationships with university and community partners to support staff learning.

Ms. Sanchez provides leadership for the development and implementation of accelerated learning programs and services including: Early Entrance Kindergarten, Highly Capable, Honors, Advanced Placement, and College in the High School. She collaborates with district leaders, school principals and teams to ensure that services and programs increase student access and engagement, close achievement and opportunity gaps, and supporting student learning and success. Ms. Sanchez provides oversight of established district processes and policies pertaining to choice schools, and provides leadership and technical assistance in the request for proposal (RFP) process. She collaborates with district and school leaders in the identification, development, and implementation of innovative programs in alignment with district policy and oversees district summer school.
