Examples of citations for books, magazines and encyclopedias
Citations can be confusing depending on exactly what kind of work it is, how many authors there are and even whether or not the author is listed. Follow these examples for specific situations. Be sure to double-space all works cited or works consulted lists.

| Note: Use “et al” when more than 3 authors or editors are listed. Write the name of the first person listed, then a comma, then “et al” followed by a period (see example in the next citation). If editors, put
“et al” followed by a comma, and then “eds.” |
