Juanita High School Teacher Selected as Finalist for National Award
Meredith Clayton, a National Board Certified teacher at Juanita High School is one of three teachers selected by the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Randy Dorn as a state-level finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
Clayton teaches Honors and AP Chemistry. She is also a teacher on special assignment for the district, working on graduation standards and teacher training.

Microsoft Employees Lend a Helping Hand
On Friday, September 11, nearly 100 Microsoft employees will be on site at John Muir Elementary in Kirkland to lend a hand in their “Day of Caring.” Employees have signed up for different tasks to be completed throughout the day, including the following:
- Facilities/maintenance
- Academic support – leveled library, accelerated reading
- Student enrichment presentations
- Teacher technology training
- Technology maintenance
