Each day during the week of September 29th thru October 3rd, bus drivers will count students on their morning routes. These counts determine the amount of funding Lake Washington School District receives for transportation for the year from the state of Washington. Even with this state funding, about 45 percent of the cost of transportation comes out of the general fund. More transportation money from the state means less money from the general fund has to go to transportation. If your student takes the bus, please make sure they are on the bus to be counted this week.
