Beginning in fall 2007, student traffic safety education will no longer be offered as a Lake Washington School District program. However, as a convenience to LWSD students and parents, the district will allow commercial driving schools to rent high school facilities for the purpose of providing driver education programs during the 2007-08 school year. Currently, 911 Driving School , a state approved youth traffic safety education program, plans to offer driver’s training to students in our district.
911 Driving School will host courses year round at each of the district’s four major high schools:
- Eastlake
- Juanita
- Lake Washington
- Redmond
The first session begins October 1, 2007. Learn more about the program and how to register.
