Every year, the Lake Washington School District transportation department sends out postcards to every student using bus transportation with information on their stop in case of a snow emergency. But those postcards can easily get lost between their receipt and that first big snowstorm. Starting today, parents can look up the information on the snow route bus stop by going to http://busroutes.lwsd.org/elinkER/
This link will take parents to the emergency route portion of the district’s VersaTrans system, which the transportation department uses to manage bus routes. Enter the word guest for both the user name and password. After that, parents will enter their address and their student’s grade: the interactive site will bring up the specific snow route stop for that student.
The district announces when it will be using snow routes for its buses. Go to www.schoolreport.org or check the home page of this Web site to find out if school is delayed, closed, or snow routes will be in use.
