Redmond, Wash. – Lake Washington School District (LWSD) and the Lake Washington Education Association (LWEA) have reached a tentative agreement on contract negotiations for the LWSD/LWEA collective bargaining agreement for 2008-09 through 2010-11.
Details of the tentative agreement will not be made available until May 21 when the LWEA will hold a ratification meeting. The District will hold a District Leadership Team meeting to share the contract information at the same time.
The District’s Board of Directors will take action on the contract settlement at the June 2 meeting, pending LWEA ratification of the contract.
Superintendent Chip Kimball said, “Both teams worked very hard and approached the issues collaboratively and creatively. I am proud of all of our participants and am excited about our future work together.”
