Lake Washington School District Announces Administrative Changes for 2009-2010
 
Five are new to the district

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Redmond, Wash. – The Lake Washington School District announces several administrative changes for the 2009-2010 school year, including the hiring of five new administrators to replace those who are retiring or have left the district.

Elementary School Changes:

  • Brad Stolz, currently director of teaching and learning, will be director of athletics as well as the new principal at Rush Elementary, replacing Kimo Spray, currently principal at Rush Elementary, who will be the new principal at Alcott Elementary.
  • Joyce Teshima, currently principal at Rose Hill Elementary, will be the new principal at Redmond Elementary, replacing Janice Heid, who is retiring.
  • Karen Janik, currently a Principal on Special Assignment (POSA) in Professional Development, will be the new principal at Rose Hill Elementary.

Junior and Senior High Changes:

  • Laurynn Evans from Mukilteo School District will be the new principal at Rose Hill Junior High.
  • Monica Garcia from South Kitsap School District will be the assistant principal at Inglewood Junior High.
  • Cindy Lundvall, currently director of student services, will be assistant principal at Evergreen Junior High as well as director of student services.
  • Greg Schellenberg from Peninsula School District will be principal at Eastlake High School, replacing Rondel Hardie, who is retiring.
  • Christina Thomas, currently associate principal at Eastlake High School, will be principal at Best High School and Family Learning Center, replacing Jane Andrew, who is retiring.
  • Donna Alexander from Franklin Pierce School District will be the new associate principal at Eastlake High School.
  • Miriam Mickelson from Clover Park School District will be the new associate principal at Lake Washington High School.
