The curriculum was selected by a committee of elementary teachers representing our schools. This committee spent the 2008-2009 school year developing criteria for materials selection that are aligned with district standards for Social Studies. The committee applied the selection criteria in its research of available curricula and feel that the selected materials best meet these criteria.
