Lake Washington School District Food Services Department is complying with a US Department of Agriculture request to put on hold the limited amount of beef in its supplies from the Westland Meat Company, which is under investigation. Only about five percent of the beef used by Food Services comes directly from Westland. However, Food Services plans to keep beef off its menu until it can be assured that no Westland Meat Company product is among the beef provided by other suppliers.
